This week, the weather has been pretty bad - it rained both water and ice, it was very windy and we didn't get that much sun. Maybe this is the best way for the weather to end Winter in order to make us appreciate Spring even more. Tomorrow, as well as next week, here in Malta it is supposed to be sunny but still windy. So I am not sure whether we will have a perfect day for the beginning of Spring. Since it's still chilly the outfit below is appropriate for the current weather. I think it's the perfect outfit for a relaxed Sunday whether you are going for a casual brunch or lunch, a walk or to watch a movie. Because of the black and white combo, which by the way is going to be huge this Spring and Summer, this outfit is very chic and put together especially if you pair it with a higher end pair of shoes and bag. To infuse some colour into this look I would go for bright pink lips and nails. And to make the outfit more sophisticated I would wear a pair of cute gold stud earrings and a detailed but not too chunky necklace. I will definitely pair an outfit similar to the one below by the end of this month and I will post an OOTD. But for tomorrow I am just going to have a chilled out day at my parent's, have a nice lunch with Easter colomba cake, and wear leggings and a hoodie. What about you? Is your Sunday outfit going to be a "Pretty for Spring" kind of outfit or leggings and hoodie like mine?

Colourful Back to School Outfit......Hanna Marin Inspired
For many of you, going back to school is just a matter of days. I remember when I was younger myself (actually only few years ago) and I used to either be very enthusiastic or sometimes sad about the beginning of a new scholastic year. I am hoping all you girls out there are looking forward to going back to school because this doesn't imply only going back to studying (which on its own is great) but it also means meeting your friends every day and spending some quality time with them. It means having a daily reason to get ready every morning and look great, feel great and be awesome in all you are going to do. One last tip before I get into this fashion post, is to not limit yourself to following only the scholastic program but also engage in as many extracurricular activities as you can manage. These will not only look great on your curriculum, but will provide you with extra life experiences and thus shape your personality and also give you extra opportunities to meet incredible people. So get excited and start planning your new scholastic year ahead, including your outfits!
Below is a set I have put together on Polyvore for all those girls who want to bring a little bit of Summer into their school days by adding colour to their outfits. Make sure you keep your look balanced and you always look put together and never show too much skin. You want to be stylish never tacky. For this colourful look, I took inspiration from one of Hanna Marin's outfits in season 3. I think now, with the sales going on, it's the best time to get these or other similar pieces by spending half the original price or even less.

Scared of Animal Print?....Classic Outfits
For years I have been against anything which was animal print, not because I was scared, but because I saw it as the opposite to tasteful, elegant and classy which in few words is tacky. However, lately I have realized that everything and nothing could look tacky. It all depends on how you wear things, how you decide to pair them and most importantly how good you are at keeping that balance which makes any outfit turn out to be a great one.
I must admit that although I have started to like animal print, when it's subtle and tastefully paired, I still only have one piece in my wardrobe which has an animal feel. And I haven't even worn it yet. So I can relate to anyone who might be scared of buying and even worse wearing something with an exotic feline print. However, there are many animal prints which are subtle or animal inspired. Above, I have put together 3 outfits which are great both for work or when you want to look put together and elegant. Each of them features an animal print dress. None is however tacky and each one is very put together and classy. This shows that it's not the animal print per se which is tacky but certain ways of pairing it. Just make sure that your chosen animal print item is tasteful and balance it out with simple classic shoes, handbags and jewellery. Below are the pieces I used to create the above outfits.
