Fall Fashion 2013

Watching fashion shows online is a sort of ritual for me every Fall and Spring. While Spring Fashion makes me excited because it marks the beginning of the warmer season, Fall Fashion is my favourite because it includes blazers, scarves and boots. What I love most about runway shows is how amazed I am at what some of the stylist have come up for the next season, plus I enjoy being aware of the coming fashion trends so that I  can incorporate a few of them in my outfits. In this post I want to share my favourite collections for the coming season, as I believe they are worth having a look at - even if only for inspiration.

My top 1 designer for this season is Burberry. It's a mix of elegance and playfulness. The colours, prints, the fabrics, the low heels, the big clutches and the cinched in outerwear are perfect for me - they are classic but have something which makes them fresh and modern yet chic and perfect for a day at the office, for a relaxed or a more glamorous date night. I love the combination of the chunky sweater with the stylish pencil skirt. And the subtle animal print which sometimes is more geometrical than animal is perfect for those women who like me are not fond of animal prints.

My second favourite is a Rebecca Minkoff. And this is not a surprise since every season, especially the colder one, I fall in love with her collection. This collection is the opposite when compared to Burberry's.  It is in fact very edgy and modern - which is exactly what this stylist is known and loved for. The coats, the little bags......are just the perfect piece to make your outfit stand out. This is essential during Fall and Winter, as warmer outfits can sometimes be boring with well the layering needed to keep us warm. Among my favourites are the grey and camel combo, the oversized coats which is a trend we have seen last fall and winter and which is great for layering. I am also in love with the dark hunter green coat worn over jeans and heels. The soft leather dress and coat are the perfect piece to edge up your wardrobe. And the oversize black blazer is perfect for both mornings and nights. The hair and makeup paired with the beanie hats finished the looks just perfectly.

Another one of my usual favourites is Chloe. What I like about this stylist is the fact that every look is so different from the other. And in fact I usually end up liking only half of the collection.
Notwithstanding this, watching her show is always very interesting. I love how black is being worn
with blue, something we have always been told not to. The golden mesh is very eye catchy and I am interested in trying any sort of dresses with the plunged rounded neckline, some of which have the neckline completely cut out and are worn over another layer.

Dior had a great collection this time. I love how he incorporated the office girl trend throughout the collection while still keeping the looks very feminine and not too edgy. The minimalistic feels of many of the looks is great for the colder season, especially for work. After all this season seems to be all about less is more, not only in terms of fashion minimalism but also in. Terms of very minimal makeup. This is perfect for those of you who like me love a natural, almost effortless elegant and chic look.

What about you? Which collection is your favourite? And which trend do you like most?
STAY FAB
