Spring Night Outfit.

Hello,

For those of you who enjoy outfits of the day posts, here is an outfit of the night. I really love these posts and also videos because they help you get ideas on what to wear and how to shop in your own wardrobe which is essential if like me you have a wardrobe full of new clothes you never wear.

I put together this outfit for my husband;s birthday which was on a Monday and since we went out for a casual dinner I figured out that a pair of jeans was the best solution to be both comfty and nice. I really love this outfit because it is casual yet very chic and also a bit particular.

Spring Outfits!

Hello ladies,

Summer is almost here, finally! So I thought it made sense to post my spring outfits now, before spring is officially over. Spring is my favourite season because I get to wear lighter clothes but the weather is not as sticky and hot as in summer. Below are few of the outfits which I wore during April and May 2011. Hope you enjoy this post and find it useful, especially if you live somewhere where summer is still cool and breezy.

I am not going to list where each item in the outfits is from, but if anyone is interested in knowing feel free to ask and I will reply.

Spring Summer 2011 Trends.......Alessia's likes and dislikes.

Hello Fashion Lovers,

Lately I have been loving checking every possible magazine, website and also videos on this season trends not only in clothes but also in accessories and makeup. Obviously, not every trend is for everyone as taste and also personal style will influence what trends one will like. In this post I am going to list the current season trends I am loving, those I am looking forward to try and finally and in this case least those trends I cannot stand. So let's get started!

SPRING TRENDS I AM CURRENTLY LOVING:

1. Layering feminine flowy blouses under blazers, jackets and also cardigans;
2. Injecting white in my outfits (white is the colour most associated with summer and I am really craving the next season);
3. Brightening up outfits with colourful shoes and accessories;
4. Cinching my waist with thin belts in unordinary ways;
5. Having fun with handbags rather than being too matchy matchy;
6. Rolling up jackets' sleeves as it can make an outfit more casual and simultaneously very chic;
7. Wearing lots of bracelets;
8. Wearing pieces which have some unique detail like print, pattern in order to make the outfit more interesting;
9. Having fun with clothes in general after such a long and boring winter.

SS TRENDS I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY:

1. Colour blocking;
2. Pastels with feminine touches to achieve a dreamy look;
3. Florals mixed with solids not to overdo it;
4. Metallics paired with neutral shades and soft materials;
5. Rompers and playsuits;
6. Lady like vintage handbags as well as bright clutches;
7. Big watches especially in rose gold, ideal for the warmer months;
8. Introducing extra feminine details in my outfits such as lace and flowy blouses;
9. Brown, tan and stone heel gladiator sandals;
10. Nautical stripes paired with brights.

TRENDS I AM NOT INTO:

1. Denim on Denim ( when you wear more than one denim item);
2. Harem pants (although I have never tried these I am not really inspired by them);
3. Exposing stomach (I feel this trend can make you look cheap and totally tasteless);
4. Fringes and camel (As these recall a country cowgirl style which I really cannot stand plus we have seen camel throughout winter);
5. Punk/Gipsy/Rocker style (I don't see myself sporting out any of these styles but neither do I like exagerating with mixing patterns, fabrics and colours).
