What to wear this Christmas.........

Hello girls,

If you like me celebrate Christmas with your family you will certainly have a lunch to attend on the 25th of this month. Have you thought about what you will wear. I guess you want to look your best this happy time of the year and get compliments from your loved ones. To help you figure out what you could wear I am going to list the options I am going to consider for my Christmas day outfit. All these outfits are inspired by the desire of wearing something which makes me feel comfortable but yet sophisticated and which also brings some of the classic details I like. Of course each outfit has those pieces which render it modern and fresh, thus appropriate for my age.

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR'S EVE FORMAL OUTFITS   http://alessiapearl.blogspot.com/2011/12/holiday-party-dresses.html

Outfit 1

If I choose to wear option 1 I will wear a pair of beige trousers, a black long sleeves turtle neck and a deep red/burgundy ruffle top. I would then accessories this outfit with a black scarf, black pumps and a black bag and wear a black coat. As accessories I would choose between black and gold.

Outfit 2

The second outfit is a bit more simple but in my opinion more sophisticated as it is very classic. It consists in wearing a beige trousers with a black top and some black pumps. It can be accessorised with a black scarf and a black bag and worn with a camel coat. As accessories one could wear black, silver but also add a pop of colour. And of course pearls would make the even outfit more classic.

Outfit 3
I don't have a picture for this outfit as I was inspired by some new clothing pieces I have in my wardrobe rather than by a picture on polyvore. It consists of a black tulip skirt and this is the piece which make the outfit stand out because of the strange shape of the skirt which is however a difficult one to wear in my opinion. I would wear it with some black tights or leggings and black pumps. Then wear it a black top. To add a bit of colour to the outfit I will finish the look by wearing an olive green scarf and a mud short coat.
I would accessorise this outfit with a black bag and some khaki earrings, necklace and bracelet. Adding a touch of gold would also look good. This is my favourite outfit so far.

Outfit 4
Although I had a picture for this outfit I cannot find the link so I hope you will take an idea from my explanation.
The bottom can either be a black skirt or a light chocolate trousers. I would wear one of these pieces with a black turtle neck long sleeved and layer on top of it a burgundy short sleeves shirt with ruffles. I would then wear black pumps, a black scarf and a mud coat. I would accessorise the outfit with a black bag and some golden, bronze pieces.

Outfit 5

This is another favourite of mine so i guess I will end up wearing either this or outfit 3.
I would make up this outfit by wearing a black tulip skirt or any other black skirt, a black long sleeves top or a purple ruffle buttoned shirt and layer a long beige cardigan on top of these pieces. I would wear the skirt with some black leggings or tights and black pumps.
To finish the look I would wear a black bag and a grey coat. And I would accessories with either purple accessories or silver ones.

Hope you found this post useful. I would like to know from you what you will wear this Christmas and if you have any question feel free to ask me by leaving a comment and I will get back to you as soon as I read it.
WISH YOU ALL A MERRY CHRISTMAS

Christmas Gift Guide 1........

Hi everyone,

I know it's been long but I have been watching lots of you tube beauty videos and read blogs in this few weeks I haven't posted. I like to post only when I really feel like and I wanted to do a Christmas haul but I have already packed the gifts I bought. So I guess this will be like a gift purchase and packing guide.

First of all I want to say that this is my favourite period of the year and I know most people seem to say the same but it truly is, it always was and it always will hopefully. I don't know why exactly, but once December starts my mood changes and I become much more positive and happy throughout the day. It might be the Christmas decorations, the old Christmas songs playing in the background of most stores and TV promotions and the thought of getting close with family members and sharing love as well as exchanging gifts. I love the entire process of gift making from the stage when you start thinking about what to buy each loved person, through purchase, packaging until the final moment when you actually give the gift and look at the person reaction once opening it.

Each year the people I give gifts to include my parents, my husband (until last year fiance), my sister of course, my grandparents, my parents in law and sometimes a friend or two. I will briefly list the gifts I got each one and post pictures of the wrapped gifts too.
First is my sister and can say I got her some skincare products because I want her to start a skincare routine as she doesn't follow one. So I got her a cleanser for sensitive/dry skin and a moisturizer. I also got her a cute makeup palette in basic earth colours including white, beige, pink, brown, copper and gold shades. I also got one for me since I really liked the colours. I got her this small makeup gift because I would like her to start enjoying more girly stuff since she is now almost 18 and I guess she can share the eye shadows palette with my mum sometimes. I also plan to use this palette to do their makeup on Christmas day and for my grandparents'50th anniversary next month. I want to get her something else and probably it will be a clothing garment either some leggings or top or dress which she can wear on Christmas day.
My sister's gifts

For my mum I got a nice purple wool long top which she can wear over some trousers or jeans with some turtle neck under and I know she loves purple but hasn't got any winter tops in this colour. I also got her a nice necklace with kind of pearls and purple crystals which she can wear together with the top and she literally adores necklaces.

(I still need to wrap these)

For my dad I got a nice charcoal pull over with grey stripes and it is lovely to wear with a shirt or just a t shirt on a jeans for a casual look or with some trousers for a more polished look. Normally I get him wine and chocolates but this period he is trying to eat healthy to manage his diabetes so I wanted to give him a healthy gift.

For my husband I got just a casual sweater for now because I would like to buy him a black smart jacket but I prefer to buy it with him so that I am sure the size is good. I guess I will wait for the post Christmas sales and give him the jacket as a new year gift.

For my grandparents I got just a nice Christmas cake and a bottle of champagne since they will have the anniversary in two weeks and I am going to give them the guests favors as my gift plus I am also taking care of their party organization.

My grandparents' small gift

For my husband mum we got a makeup bag with some body lotion, hand cream and a very nice bath brush as well as a scarf and some candies. Whereas for my father in law we got a bottle of wine and some chocolates as these are the only things we are sure he will like.

Hope you like this post and got some ideas for your Christmas gifts and wrapping and keep reading my posts. By the way I will soon post a guide to what to war on Christmas day.
