Here in Malta, the weather doesn't really follow the seasons specifically. Fall started and we were wearing shorts and t shirts and still eating ice cream. However, when it decided to switch to cooler temperatures, it did so suddenly and unexpectedly within a matter of 2 days. Because the weather is so unpredictable (at times even for weather forecasters), it is very important your wardrobe is well organized and stocked in advance. Now, although most of us have already switched to Fall clothing, this post might still be useful for you and for those who are still enjoying their Summer season, also depending on when you read this.
Below are my essential closet pieces for the Fall season. These happen to be things I always reach out for during this period of the year and are not influenced by current trends. I tried to narrow them to the essentials, as the title suggests, but they still added up to 25.

5. Tank tops, to layer underneath
6.A Summer dress or skirt to layer with
7. Cardigans, especially long
8. Lighter as well as thicker tops (both short and long sleeved)
9. A light casual blazer
10. Darker coloured handbags, especially black and brown (better if not in fabric material)
11. Scarves
12. Blouses; especially a black one, a printed one and a lightly coloured one
13. Darker skinny pants, like my wine ones
14. Black heels (closed, no peep toes) to dress up my other essentials
15. A smarter blazer
16.Leather leggings or pants
17.Leggings (lighter and ticker) for exercising, wearing inside the house and sleeping
18.Zip up hoodies for home and extra casual days
19.A pair of girly ballerina trainers
20.Casual but cute sports pants
21.A casual jacket
22.Nude ballet socks to wear with flats and heels
23.Black or dark brown boots (for later during Fall)24.A light coat (for when it gets too cold)
25.Leather gloves for later through Fall
