Jimmy Choo Lily Sunglasses

If you have read my Sunglasses for high myopia post and How to choose sunglasses, you know I have kept you waiting to reveal which sunglasses I ended up choosing. The choice was between another pair of Jimmy Choo sunglasses and a Tiffany one. Both were nice, but I am so so happy with my choice.

The Jimmy Choo Lily Sunglasses were the ones I tried on the first time and fell in love with 6 months before actually buying them (read How to choose sunglasses for the rest of that story). They were also the cheapest because they were part of last year's collection, rather than this year's. Initially, I really wanted the Jimmy Choo Lana folding sunglasses but they were too big for my face, and I wasn't sure about the folding aspect either. The Tiffany sunglasses are beautiful but darker than I wanted and also much beyond my pre-established budget for my sunglasses frames and lenses.

I bought both the frame and the lenses at Ohea Opticians, here in Malta. The service was great and the sunglasses' result, after being mounted with the sighted lenses, was unbelievable. I never thought my new sunglasses would look so sleek, even though I have myopia with -7.50 on both sides. Everywhere I went I was told I should choose a super small frame, or even opt for a pair of regular glasses and put darker lenses on those. It was crazy and very depressing - and it made me hate my myopia, not that I love it but I have learned to accept it with time. Thankfully, the new eye doctor I went to suggested I choose the frames I like most and not worry about the lenses result. That's what I did, after being given all the info necessary on the lenses, including their thickness.

When I collected my sunglasses, I was actually upset by 2 things: the not so perfect Jimmy Choo case (it came with few scratches and minor stains, and being a perfectionist and high on OCD I hated that) and the colour of the lenses. I initially thought the lenses didn't even look like sunglasses, because they are so see through you can clearly see my eyes. Then after a little research, I realized that many famous people wear light sunglasses even if they don't have eye problems. That helped me fall completely in love with my new sunglasses. And now I am super happy about them as they look great, are stylish and most importantly comfortable. The lenses are not too thick and because they are dark and matte people don't really notice them. And if they do, I don't care. And you shouldn't either, since myopia is not something to be ashamed of.

So if you are looking for the perfect pair of sunglasses, and you have a petite frame, I would suggest you to try the Jimmy Choo Lily ones. Also, if you have high myopia but still want a pair of stylish sunglasses you should try these as well. Finally, whatever your sunglasses needs are Jimmy Choo and Hoya make the perfect combination in my opinion (I am not being sponsored at all).

STAY FAB
