How to wear a white sequined skirt...Look 1

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 9th year together (since we first met). So we went out for a nice dinner to celebrate. The restaurant was very nice, almost floating on the sea, and our table was simply perfect overlooking the water and the fish in it. It was a side intimate table just how I like it (I hate getting a table in the centre of a restaurant and I always try to go for the best view). The food was good too. I ordered some mushroom ravioli and my husband had a Sicilian pasta dish. Anyway, this is what I wore.

I was pretty excited to wear this white sequined skirt for the first. I featured it in my Summer Haul 2012 Part 1, if you want more details about the skirt. The top was also new. Although I bought it about months ago, I never wore it. So yesterday I ended wearing a completely new outfit, which always makes me feel great. Both the skirt and the top are larger than what I would normally wear but since they were Sales bargains I bought them just the same. I think still look fine, although they feel a little bit loose.

I actually had 3 options for the top part of the outfit. I had to choose between the beige blouse, a black one and a bright green. Normally I would have tried out all the three options before deciding. But yesterday I ended up wearing the first look just because I liked it so much. I do not normally go for very light outfits because they can be high maintenance and I am obsessed with keeping my clothes in mint condition. But I am happy about my outfit choice. I think it was the perfect outfit for an upper deck dinner.

I decided to pair this outfit with some nude peep toe pumps, my whimsical nude and brown bag I love so much. For accessories I mixed gold with silver to match my eye look. I wore crystal studs, a gold necklace and a white and silver bracelet.
