Beach Outfit & Resort Outfit.....Same dress 2 looks

After 2 years since I last swam, my husband and I finally went to the beach twice this week. Although it might seem crazy since we live on an island, we are not huge beach fans simple because we cannot stand the hot sun and while my husband hates the sand I hate rocky beaches. Last time we swam before this week was during our honeymoon in Mauritius. And crazy us, we preferred to swim in the heated pool rather than in the beautiful Indian Ocean. Anyway, I wanted to share my beach outfit I wore last Sunday when we went to the beach for the second time last week. Although, we didn't swim because the sea was both rough and dirty due to the strong wind, we enjoyed a little bit of sun (it wasn't too hot as it was slightly cloudy). So here is what I wore.....

As you can see in the picture above, I wore a beach cover up over my bikini. I paired it with some simple cheap flip flops (nothing fancy since it will get all sandy and i will have to dip it in water to wash it). I put my hair up in a bun and wore no makeup, just my la Roche Posay Sun lotion factor 50 and my luscious liquid lipstick by Elf in shade perfect pink which I reviewed here. For bikini I wore a black bikini top and a separate black and teal with black sequins bottom. I don't like to wear matching bikini top and bottom. I think it looks old and obvious.

I also decided to share with you an outfit I wore during my honeymoon 2 years ago. I was wearing the same bikini cover up dress but the whole look was a little bit more put together. I wore some white wedges to give me extra height and also look more stylish. And underneath the dress I wore a skirt because I didn't want to go to breakfast with my bikini showing under the cover up, although it's not that sheer due to the busy print. I also wore my hair down and paired the dress with some dangly earrings in a similar shade.

And you what have you been wearing to the beach this Summer? Share it in the comments below.

STAY FAB
