Denim on Denim............End of Winter Outfit

Denim on denim has always been a no no for me especially blue on blue denim. I have always thought it to be as old fashioned and tasteless. But after browsing online and looking at various pictures on various blogs I love reading, I decided to give denim on denim a try.

Last Sunday, I was very excited to wear my denim shirt which I bought during the February sales. It has been years and years since I last had a denim shirt. When I was about 16 I had 2 denim shirts, a light blue one and a darker one, but I was tired of wearing them so I gave them away and never bought any other denim shirts or jackets (except for a white one). It's been a year now since I have wanted a blue denim shirt or jacket but I have never found something I was willing to spend my money on until during the Winter sales. But enough talking (I always like to tell the story behind my outfits) and let's look at the outfit.

I loved the fun, casual yet very tasty feel the above outfit has. However, I decided to twist it and style it according to the weather (which is getting warmer but not so warm to wear only the denim shirt).....

As you can see below I paired my denim shirt with a dark pair of jeans. I layered the shirt over a brown turtle neck and finished the look with my new brown over the knee boots. For accessories I opted for some blue bracelets set and simple studs. I wore my Gucci imitation bag and my taupe coat which I ended up holding all the time since the day turned warmer than I thought.
