How to Travel in Style this Summer 2011.....NEW YORK

Hello ladies,

New York is the destination I am going to start this series with. I have chosen it because it is one of the destinations I would like to visit in the near future and also because it has been rated by Trip Advisor among the top 10 attractions to be visited within 2011.

I am going to show you 9 outfits for a vacation of 7 days in New York. Some of the outfits can be worn the entire day, others will be either for the morning or for the evening depending on how the day will be planned.

Outfit 1: Travelling to New York
When travelling you want to make sure you are stylish but very comfortable especially if you have a long flight which will imply sleeping on the plane (or not sleeping at all) and not being able to change your outfit for the whole day. Layering is suggested to ensure you never feel too warm or too cold. I also suggest you wear something which is smart casual so that you are adequate for any type of situation you will encounter while travelling. The outfit I suggest include the following pieces:

Outfit 2: Shopping on New York Fifth Avenue & Top of the Rock
For your first day at New York you want to feel great, take it easy and immerse yourself in your vacation. If you love shopping, there is no better activity to start your vacation with. Seeing New York from the top on your first night can give you an idea of your vacation will be about! So your outfit must be chic and modern, after all there isn't a more modern capital for fashion in the world apart from New York.

Outfit 3: A day around Greenwich Village
Cute and feminine are the concepts for this outfit. A floral dress worn with the right accessories will make you feel comfortable when walking around during day as well as make you feel great in the evening when it is time to dine in a nice romantic dinner. The cardigan blazer will help you dress up the outfit for the night.

If you like this post, make sure you read the coming 2 posts on New York Outfits which will involve shopping, museums, Central Park and a romantic dinner along the Hudson River.

Stay Fab,

AlessiaPearl
