Time to work. OOTD

Time to work.

Whether you are a student, an artist or you work in an office environment this is the perfect time to enjoy working outdoors. If you live in countries with big parks like Central Park or the beautiful Scandinavian ones, you can grab a blanket and go sit in the park and do your work in the shade or under the sun. If you'd rather be more comfortable you can choose a small cute cafe with a view and go during the least busy hours so you can focus and do your work. Being in contact with nature, getting a boost of vitamin D and breathing fresh air will help you with your ideas, especially if you work in a more creative field.

If I were to spend few hours working outdoors or close to nature this is the outfit I would wear. A pair of jeans, a black light sweater and black accessories. I would keep it simple and bring with me all my essentials: my camera, laptop, notebooks and a pen and of course my purse and phone. What about you what would you take with you to go work outdoors?

Fancy Sightseeing....What to Wear?

Fancy Sightseeing

With Spring finally here and Easter within few days, this is the perfect time for a short holiday. Whether you are going on a European weekend break or anywhere else where you want to be comfortable but still stylish and put together, this is the right outfit to wear for a day of fancy sightseeing. The black and white combo give it that classy chic feel which makes it great for transitioning from morning to night. It's also easy to put together. And I am sure you all have black pants, a white top and a black cardigan. Moreover all these pieces are great to use for your other pairings while on holiday. The silver accessories give this look a modern edgy feel. And the warm makeup colours balance the cool outfit and make it a little warmer for Spring.

Tuesday's Groceries

Tuesdays are usually groceries days. My husband and I like to go to the Farmers' market whenever we can. It's amazing how much fresh fruit and vegetables we can buy for under 10 euros. And the best part is that the taste is amazing. Their products are cheap but also genuine and mostly organic. Plus the farmers are so friendly and always smiling. Many of them are old and I have a soft spot for old people. I think you can always learn from them, and apart for few exceptions, old people are really sweet and kind.

The outfit below is the ideal outfit I would wear to go to the farmers' market and run other errands after. It's comfortable but still cute and chic. And who wouldn't want to have a Celine bag? I usually keep my makeup pretty natural and my hair effortless as well as keeping the accessories to a minimum.

This week however, Tuesday was a public holiday. So we are going to go on Saturday. I am definitely going to wear something similar. If I do, I will share OOTD pictures.

End of Winter Outfit Inspiration: Pretty for Spring

This week, the weather has been pretty bad - it rained both water and ice, it was very windy and  we didn't get that much sun. Maybe this is the best way for the weather to end Winter in order to make us appreciate Spring even more. Tomorrow, as well as next week, here in Malta it is supposed to be sunny but still windy. So I am not sure whether we will have a perfect day for the beginning of Spring. Since it's still chilly the outfit below is appropriate for the current weather. I think it's the perfect outfit for a relaxed Sunday whether you are going for a casual brunch or lunch, a walk or to watch a movie. Because of the black and white combo, which by the way is going to be huge this Spring and Summer, this outfit is very chic and put together especially if you pair it with a higher end pair of shoes and bag. To infuse some colour into this look I would go for bright pink lips and nails. And to make the outfit more sophisticated I would wear a pair of cute gold stud earrings and a detailed but not too chunky necklace. I will definitely pair an outfit similar to the one below by the end of this month and I will post an OOTD. But for tomorrow I am just going to have a chilled out day at my parent's, have a nice lunch with Easter colomba cake, and wear leggings and a hoodie. What about you? Is your Sunday outfit going to be a "Pretty for Spring" kind of outfit or leggings and hoodie like mine?

March: Transitioning into Spring.

This week I have really been into Polyvore. I have been creating one set a day. So I decided to share one of these new sets with you as my first post in this PRE-SPRING series. The inspiration board below features a pretty basic outfit. I think black and white/cream is a great colour combination when you want to look put together without trying too hard. It's also the perfect choice when you are not sure if you want to look casual or smart. In fact the pairing below is comfortable but at the same time chic and put together.

I am sure you all know that black and white is going to be huge this Spring and Summer. And I love to wear black during Spring because I know I won't wear it during Summer and most of Fall. The gold jewellery, cream bag and warm makeup help brighten the outfit and make it just perfect for daytime.

I would wear this outfit in a cosmopolitan city like New York for brunch, running errands or a casual day at work. I would keep my hair straight or pull it up in a sleek ponytail.
