FALL WINTER 2012 2013: CHLOE'

I wasn't wrong, when I thought to myself: "This collection feels exactly like what a Northern European woman would wear this coming fall and Winter". As a matter of fact, the stylist took inspiration from both Parisian and English young ladies, or at least ones who are young at heart. In Chloe's Press Release, this Fall Winter 2012/2013 collection is described as follows:

"ECLECTIC AND PLAYFUL, CHLOE' COMBINES FRENCH SOPHISTICATION WITH AN ENGLISH FESTIVAL GIRL STYLE FOR  A CAREFREE, SPORTY COLLECTION. "IT'S ABOUT A  POETIC AND CHARMING WAY OF PUTTING THINGS TOGETHER, FLIRTING WITH INNOCENCE FROM A PLACE OF STRENGTH," SAYS CHLOE'S CREATIVE DIRECTOR CLAIRE WAIGHT KELLER." As you can see from the pictures below, this season Chloe has decided to give us the warmth we need through soft but thick knitwear, padded jackets and coats in both dainty and soft bright playful colours. The key is to look good and polished while being comfortable and relaxed. That's why they described this collection to be a mix of "Parisian chic with an easy English attitude". Through the airy, at times oversized pieces this collection is ideal for the woman who wants to be comfortable like English girls yet chic like Parisian ones. Below are my favourite looks, which I must admit almost make up the entire collection.

The main characteristics of this collection, which you might want to keep in mind for your next Fall and Winter outfits are the following:

1. Soft, dainty but at times lightly bright colours like candy pinks, apricot, peach, lemon and butter, light blues and mint as well as bright red and the standard camel.
2. Soft airy knits and lace sweaters
3. British military inspired parkas, hooded ponchos and quilted cotton jackets
4. Dropped waist dresses
5. Elasticated ankle trousers in different fabrics like wool and tweed
6. Big pockets on coats
7. Black and white colour combo for evening looks
8. Elasticized waist belts 
9. Rounded flatforms and heels featuring ankle straps
10. And last, but not least, is Alice the new two toned bag for Fall Winter 2012 2013. This comes in both pastel colours as well as more earthy ones.
