Although my skin has no pink undertones and is in fact more yellowish and neutral, today's post is for all those of you have a pink undertone and are looking for a good coverage but natural makeup base.
Few weeks ago I was given a few makeup samples to try at a local makeup store. Among the samples were 2 Sisley products - a primer and a concealer. Unfortunately they are both too pink for my skin and while I love their consistency and performance, they make my face look sunburnt and almost as if I attached another woman's head to my own body. Notwithstanding this, I want to share these products with those of you who have a pink undertone so that you can make the most out of them since they are the first few products in a long time which have actually done a good job at concealing and lasting all day long.

The primer is the Sisley Instant Perfect and while it is slightly pinkish I would say everyone can use this unless you have lots of redness like me and would rather use a greenish primer to counteract it. As soon as I apply this primer almost all the shine on my skin disappears. Hence this product actually does what it claims to. For the fine lines I didn't really see any effect but I do not have very many. If however, you apply a concealer or a foundation which are not for oily skin you are very likely to get shine again on your face, even though you apply this primer. So I would suggest you to use this primer on its own in combination with concealer for a light makeup kind of day or use it under mattifying makeup products. If you do not use mattifying products make sure to powder your face. If on the other hand you are quiet dry or combination dry you might get away with using this product to remove any shine you have and then apply your favourite products without even needing to powder.

The second sample I tried from Sisley is the Phyto Cernes Éclat in shade 1 which has great coverage and lasts all day but it is again too pink for my skin. It applies easily and when you blend it in your skin it doesn't disappear as most light concealers do. Even though it has a slightly ticker consistency, which is more creamy than liquid, it doesn't cake on my face and has a great coverage without looking like a mask - well in my case it did look like my face was a little sunburnt since it was too pinkish.
A third product which I suggest you to try in combination with the above two, especially if you have a pink undertone but you are not too fair, is the Clarins Instant Smooth Foundation in shade 1. This too has a pink undertone, it is creamy and it applies easily and once blended it turns into a velvety powdery consistency which should be great for people with oily skin as well as those with combination dry which want to avoid powdering but still get a matte finish.
I hope this post was useful and I suggest you to try the above 3 products if you are looking for good quality high end makeup with a pink undertone.
STAY FAB
