Since I was in my teenage years, I have always had a thing for purses. Whenever I could I would buy myself a new one from Catania's central market (at the time I lived in Sicily). Normally, I wouldn't spend more than 10 euros on a handbag so it was a cheap purchase but still very exciting for me. And even now when I go to Sicily I like to look through the purses being sold in the market. Sometimes, I might even buy myself one......
However, lately I have been loving slightly more classic purses. Spending a little bit more on a purse normally implies the quality is higher and so the purse should last longer. This is a positive thing, especially if the purse is classic and will never get out of fashion. For the past few months, I have been looking around for a classic purse which I could use for work as well as leisure. I wanted a black leather purse which was spacious (which would fit all my Mary Poppins needs, as an old friend used to tell me), wide enough to fit A4 papers and which looked elegant and classic but still modern. Few weeks ago I spotted a purse which met all of my requirements but which had only one fault, the straps were not black (as you might see below). So, I kept looking around but I still thought about that purse especially since nothing else caught my attention. Finally, last Saturday I decided to purchase it.
The straps were the one thing which set me off from buying this purse initially. But now they actually became the one thing which give this purse the modern twist from the classic black leather tote. The more I look at the purse the more I love it especially since it has gold details. And for only 30 euros I got 3 pieces. In fact, the purse comes with a detachable mobile pocket and a medium size detachable leather pouch to store your valuables in.
Totes have become very fashionable lately. I have been seeing the same Celine black leather tote on my favourite blogs. I almost bought a similar one few months ago but I ended up not buying it simply because it was somewhat shapeless (not very solid). Although, my new purse is a more classic one it still follows the trend. And I am looking forward to style it.
Obviously, every now and then I also like to purchase more extravagant handbags like the purple purse I bought during the Winter Sales. After all, the closet wouldn't look the same without those out of the ordinary pieces which help define one's style.........
STAY FAB
