Makeup Haul....

Hello to all followers, hope you are doing fine. I am going to propose my first haul post as I really enjoy watching and reading about  others' hauls so I feel it's time to start my own now.

I want to emphasize the fact that I really love shopping and I could shop all day every day if I had the money and time. I also enjoy helping others shop and going around shops without actually buying. In fact this happens quiet often just because I have a very difficult taste and moreover I like to explore all the options and evaluate all the pros and cons before making a purchasing decision, unless of course the purchase in question is so cheap or attracts me so much that I cannot stop myself from buying it.

The makeup products I purchased this fall include:
  • Rimmel Nail Rescue
I found this product works wonders as my nails are very weak and break easily especially when I use water without wearing gloves. It promises to harden your nails in 2 weeks and I found it working after only few days so if you have the same problem try it. The price was around 5 euros.

  • Gosh Quattro eye shadow in Baroque shades
I love this eyeshadows set as it includes neutral eye shadows which go from cream, darker beige, brown and darker brown but these brown are rich chocolates with some plum undertones and really work well with my complexion and hair colour (as I am quiet pale and have medium chocolate hair) and can be worn with most clothes colours. I am planning to buy other Gosh Quattro eye shadows especially the platinum and nude shades. I might do a post like an eye shadow tutorial using the baroque palette and of course I will post a photo for you to have a look at. This costed about 8 euros.

  • Body Shop Skin Primer Matte It
I bought this primer because I want to protect my large pores from impurities to reduce blackheads and I also would like to reduce shiny patches on my T zone. I think it's not that bad as a primer but being my first primer I cannot make comparisons. It doesn't reduce shiny patches that much so if you have very oily skin try a better primer. I will try other ones as soon as I finish this. (Just for anyone who doesn't know what a primer is it is used under your foundation just after your moisturizer and is advisable for those with oily and combination face skin). The price was 11 euros.

  • Missha Golden Rose Silky Touch Blush Shade 208
I only have two blushes so far which I use as I have others which I no longer use. These include the new missha one and the body shop cheek colour in shade 7. The new Missha one is a dark pink and being pale with a rose undertone I like to use pinks and avoid brown ones although I need to get a bronzer as it would help me look less pale. I like this blush so far although if you apply too much of it it make you look like a fake doll. It came with a small blush brush but I prefer using a bigger one. It was about 5 euros.

  • Missha The Style Eye Shadow in Charcoal Shade
I bought this because it only costed 2 euros (it's very small however) and I really needed a dark grey eye shadow as I would like to make a smokey eye look when going out at night. It doesn't come in a nice case but for its price is worth it. I haven't used it so far but I might post some picture of any look I come up using it.

  • Studio Basics Powder brush, 4 Piece Eye Shadow Brush Set and 12 Pack Dual Sponge-tipped applicators
These are the cheaper brushes I found so far as I want to start my brush collection but I think most brushes brands are very expensive. In fact most brushes cost more than 7 euros each while I found these brushes about 2 or 3 euros each and there were ones which includes more than one brush. I haven't used them yet but they look fine to me. I still need to buy a foundation brush, an angled brush and a stippling brush.

  • Rimmel Soft Eye Liner Pencil in Denim Blue shade
I bought this because I like to experiment with different eye liner colours especially on my lower lash line and I found it works well when used with lilac, violet and purple eye shadows. It makes your eye pop and it gives you a nice energy and glow around your eyes. It was less than 3 euros.

  • Maybelline Affinitone Concealer Shade 1
This is the final makeup product in this haul. I cannot rate it yet because I only used it once and over my foundation which is not working so well for me as it is getting cakey so the concealer appeared cakey too. I will try it without the foundation and see how it looks. This was the only drugstore concealer which came closer to my  skin colour as all the others were either too dark or too yellowish or too white. I didn't find it very good for covering blemishes for which a stick might be better.

Two perfumes samples I was given which I really liked are the Idylle Eau de Toilette by Guerlain and The Euphoria Blossom by Calvin Klein. I already have the Euphoria simple one and I really loved the Idylle one.

I hope you found this post interesting. Please leave comments and any sort of feedback.

Thanks
AlessiaPearl
